About Jane Simonson

Jane Simonson I live and work in the magnificent Hudson Valley region of New York. There is nothing like painting landscapes in the plein air style. I also enjoy painting indoors, where I set up beautiful still life compositions and try to capture the mood and the light on canvas. When I am not painting canvases, I am typically involved in other creative projects such as decoupaging jewelry or hand painting housewares.

I hold a BA in Studio Art from Smith and an MS in Communications Design from Pratt. I believe my work as a graphic designer and my work as a fine artist have influenced one another.
